Synopsis

Have you ever found yourself in a relationship out of convenience? A relationship that made sense, but didn’t necessarily make you feel good? You know the ones you tell yourself is for the best because… who wants to be seventy and alone?

That was Marley.

Marley and Drexel had been dating for two years, and best friends for even longer. On paper they made sense, on paper they were the ideal goals, but in her heart, she knew they were never supposed to be.

Drexel didn’t give her butterflies. He didn’t make her heart race. Her body flush with heat or her sex thump. No, he didn’t ignite her desire. He didn’t make her choose recklessness over common sense. Risk over safety.

No one man could do that and do it so well. Well…

Demetri Savant.

The walking embodiment of pure unadulterated sex. The only man to make her abandon every bit of her morals. The only person to singlehandedly challenge the life she settled for. He was a risk she craved, but she was used to safety.

Torn between her heart and hurting another, what will Marley choose? Better yet, who will she choose?

Sneak peek

Marley

“You gon’ replace that carpet?”
I stopped walking and looked up toward the door to find the person responsible for my soon to be walk off the deep end. This was wrong and somewhere in the recesses of my mind I knew that.
Swallowing deeply, I tried to find the words to say, but I couldn’t. My body wanted this so bad, but my mind was telling me to take my ass back to the elevator and I almost did it until he stepped into the hallway.
Basketball shorts loosely hung on his hips, black socks adorned his feet and Prada’s Luna Rossa lingered on his skin. I mentally kicked myself for knowing that scent. His scent. It was ingrained into my senses. So many times, I wanted to bury my face in his neck and stay there.
“Stop fighting this shit, Simone.”
He was invading my space and taking all my oxygen with him.
“Stop calling me, Simone.”
“Can’t.”
Backing me into the hallway wall he took my face in his hands, “I told you to only come if you were certain. You being here means that, correct?”
I thought it did, but I was second guessing myself. Getting lost in my head I questioned myself. I mean couldn’t too much come from this.
Right?
Drexel.
I hadn’t thought about him, my boyfriend for almost the last two years, the entire time until now and I questioned why that was. Why was I so willing to jump into another man’s bed without giving him a first or second thought?
Because I wasn’t happy and hadn’t been.
This was me trying to see if I was being completely unreasonable in our relationship or if there was in fact something more out there. That’s what I wanted to explore. I wanted to know deep down in my heart that I wasn’t settling but living life in all its abundance.
Even with all of that I still told Demetri, “I don’t think I can do this. I have a boyfriend, Demetri. You and I both know this isn’t right.”
Bringing his lips close to mine he said, “Woman, fuck that nigga. I ain’t worried about him.”
Smiling against his lips I asked, “Did you just semi quote my favorite movie?”
“I did.”
Another reason why we shouldn’t do this. This man knew me. What started off as us occasionally seeing each other in passing for work turned into us slowly getting to know each other. At least when we weren’t at each other’s throats, and I didn’t mean in a good way.
“I’m trying to give your body a series of blissful eruptions while making melodies out of your screams as you cream…on my d*k. Can I do that for you? Is that alright with you, Marley?”
Shaking my head, I disagreed. I had to at least try to put up a good fight even if my saluting nipples were telling him otherwise.

Are you ready for tomorrow?

Final sneak peek – The One He Needs

Hey! Tomorrow, A. Marie Johnson returns with The One He Needs. Here’s one final sneak peek before this baby goes live tomorrow!

Synopsis

“Don’t fall in love with me because I won’t be good for you.” —Bria

After being hurt by one terrible man after another, Bria Willis’ heart has been shattered and is unrepairable in her mind. Her trust issues have made her vow to swear off relationships completely, but deep down she knows her heart is in need of a good man.

The once perfect relationship Keyon Jones shared with his ex-girlfriend changed dramatically overnight and left him with a broken heart and a promise to be a player for the rest of his days, but whether he wants to admit it or not, deep down he knows he is in need of a woman who will love him and never leave.

Sounds like they’re the perfect match, doesn’t it?

Too bad getting together won’t be an easy task for the two.

Bria and Keyon’s broken hearts and trust issues limit their wills to love again and leave them with the choice to love or to lose each other. Which one will they choose?

Sneak peek

Keyon

“Awww,” Bria cooed and nudged me on the shoulder. “That’s so sweet of you, Key. Truly.” She smiled and I smiled back at her goofy self. “You’re honestly not too bad of a man,” she said the last sentence underneath her breath but I heard it.

“What’s on your mind, Bria? Talk to me.”

“Why though? It’s not like either one of us is in a situation to act on how we may truthfully feel, Keyon. I’d never set myself up to be vulnerable for a man again. Real shit.” Bria looked into my eyes and the darkness in them was even darker than usual.

“Who hurt you, baby?”

“It doesn’t matter,” she spoke low. Lower than I’d ever heard her speak before. “I can’t love you, Keyon, and you can’t love me. So why don’t we just… call it a night, OK?”

Apart of me wanted to fight her on everything she’d said, but I knew she was absolutely right and correct. I couldn’t be the good man Bria needed, and the majority of me wouldn’t allow her to be the good woman I needed. Not right now.

Grabbing her gently by the chin, I searched her eyes until she closed them due to my intense stare.

Placing passion-filled kisses against her jawline, I mumbled my words to her between each kiss.

“I can’t be what you need, Bria, but in due time I can give you what you want. You want to be blessed with the best dick you’ve ever had in your life? I got you on that, but I can’t love you, baby. I’m not equipped to do that at this time and I hate that shit something serious, believe me.”

Kissing her cheek one last time, I stood up from the couch and told her what room she could sleep in and gave her a rundown on where anything she might need for the night would be before I left the living room. My chest felt heavier and heavier with each step I took away from her, but I knew me retiring for the night was the best thing for both of us.

Bria deserved to be loved correctly, without mistake or misjudgment, and I wasn’t the man to do that right now.

Synopsis

“It was erotic and awakened a primal sense of ownership. She brought out an unfamiliar feeling inside of me… need.”  – Macier

Yazlin Vickers finds herself making a quick escape from her office building after a suspicious man barges in demanding to see her. With a father who is into both legal and illegal business dealings, anyone could be after her. Yazlin worked hard to put as much distance between her father’s lifestyle and hers as she could, but the ill choices he’s made have come back to bite both of them, and she lands in close proximity of a man who might be her only chance at a getaway.

Macier Matthews. Mace, by trade, is notorious for moving in the shadows of the most ruthless figures offering the highest payouts. With nothing to lose but his spot on the first flight off of U.S. ground, he embarks on an arrangement that might not only cost him his ticket out but his heart as well.

When these two worlds collide, an escape might be the only thing Yazlin and Macier can provide each other. That escape just might not be the kind either of them expected.

Sneak peek – Raw, explicit, erotic, and unedited.

Mace

Relief washed over her as her eyes misted and she reached up to hug me, but I took a step backward, startling her.

“Well damn, Mace. I just wanted to thank you.”

If she touched me, I would not only negotiate her p*y, I’d beg for that shit. After looking into her pleading eyes one more time, I said fuck it.

“Thank me by telling that me fucking you won’t be taking advantage of this situation, Yazlin. Tell me it’s not wrong that I’ve wanted to taste you more than anything I’ve craved in my life, ever since I left this room. Tell me it’s not fucked up that every time I get close to you, I can’t give two fucks about what you might be feeling about your father because our bodies keep speaking some loud ass language I can’t ignore. A language I feel like I won’t understand until…”

“It won’t.”

“What?” I pulled her closer to me by placing my hand against her neck, feeling her pulse travel through my body until my…

Final sneak peek – Forever I’m Yours

Tomorrow, ShanicexLola returns with Forever I’m Yours. Here’s one final sneak peek before it goes live!

Melody:

“Did you know that people around the office refer to you as an asshole?”

Cordell chuckled. “Yeah? Good thing they don’t know what I refer to them as.”

“Is there a reason you’re so mean?”

“Melody, I’m respected.” It was simply put. And it was true.

Despite the whispers and complaints about him, Cordell’s persistence and hard-work had earned everyone’s respect in the office.

“Perhaps I’ve been mean to you for other reasons,” he added.

“Other reasons?” I scoffed. “My mother didn’t pound that weak shit in my head about a boy liking me if he’s mean to me. You want me, Cordell? You better man up and act like it. Besides, you’re just mean to everyone. You can’t help yourself. I’m not flattered.”

“You done?”

“For now.” I nodded in the darkness of my bedroom.

“I’ve done my research on you, Melody. I peep the good you offer. I know what you can do. The company needs you, not the other way around. They can pamper you around the office all day long, but I won’t. That shit won’t help you open your mouth to voice your opinion any more than you already do. I want you to speak up. That’s why I’ve been mean to you.”

A response to that wouldn’t form easily. I was at a loss for words, both turned on and embarrassed of everything I’d said before he explained himself.

“That still doesn’t give you the right to…”

Cordell’s laughter cut me off. “I didn’t say I had rights, yo. I’m just a bold ass nigga. Far from a boy who’s mean to you because he likes you. I’m a man who sees potential in the woman he’s wanted since she walked in the building six weeks ago.”

My tongue was heavy again. He’d just told me he wanted me to speak up but there I was, silent and lost. Lost in the assurance he’d provided on us noticing each other from the very start.

“It is what it is,” he concluded. “I’ll see you in the morning.”

“Wait.”

“I wasn’t going anywhere without hearing you say goodbye.”

BLP Sample Sunday times 4!

Hey y’all! We will be back TOMORROW with new releases daily. Here is the lineup:

Forever I’m Yours – ShanicexLola – 11/26

Cordell:

Melody barged through the door of my office throwing questions, comments and concerns at my head. She was talking too quickly for me to sufficiently understand—moving her hands too rhythmically for me to keep up with.

There was one mind-blowing thing that couldn’t be mistaken…

She was fucking beautiful.

Today, she was completely covered. The long-sleeved, beige dress she wore flowed to her ankles and stopped right above her ankle-black strapped heels. Melody’s curves refused to be hidden. They showed out regardless of her attire.

Spears couldn’t expect me to focus this way.

“You don’t know how to knock?” I interrupted her theatrics to ask.

Really, I’d interrupted her so that she could stop talking and breathe.

“Oh. My fault.” She backtracked to leave. I would have to ban that dress! The way her ass poked out in it should have been forbidden.

Three faint knocks at the door made me chuckle. People around the office called me an asshole, but she was coming for my spot with that move.

“Come in, Hinton,” I said. She stormed in once more, rolling her scenic eyes in the process.

“I don’t understand how these people expect us to pull these numbers off.” She waved a document above her head, frustrated. “They want us to perform a miracle for some ball-point pens.”

“Have a seat.” I nodded toward one of the swivel chairs in front of my desk.

“I can’t sit.” She panicked. Deep sighs and aggravated scoffs filled the air on her behalf. “I am…”

“Too emotionally involved with the project,” I finished her statement for what I took it as. “Take a seat for me, Hinton.”

Melody,” she corrected me with a lethal side-eye.

I smiled as she plopped down in the seat directly ahead of me. Something about irritating her turned me on. I was up for whatever I could bring out of her.

“Melody. We do what we can.”

“That’s it?” She folded her arms across her chest, pouting like I’d killed a life-long dream of hers.

“What else you want?” I asked, willing to give her whatever it was.

Whatever. It. Was.

Silence fell between us for a few moments. I analyzed her beauteous features, amused at how skillfully she ignored my eyes.

“Nothing,” she mumbled and stood to leave.

I wanted to let her go. I even tried shrugging her off the second she headed for the door. Temptation struck me instead, bringing me to my feet. “Shut the door,” I commanded.

“Excuse me?” She turned around to face me.

“With you in the room. Shut the door.” If I was wrong, I would accept every consequence that came with what I was about to do. But I wasn’t. I couldn’t have been wrong.

The way she slammed the door, backed into it, and then stared at me lustfully told me that I wasn’t wrong at all.

Never Had it Like This – Lex C – 11/27

Mace

“I almost got married once.” I raised a brow, unsure where the hell that came from.

“Me too,” I countered.

“Oh-okay.” Sounding disappointed, she asked, “Really?”

“Hell no, I told you I don’t do shit like this.” Playfully kissing my teeth, I admitted, “I just wanted to see you scrunch up your face like that. Why are you telling me you were almost married?”

“Because I don’t want you to think I’m some hoe. I actually haven’t done anything like what I did last night since him.”

“You didn’t even have sex with me, so stop trippin’.  None of that shit even matters. I like what I like. Want what I want. Never wanted anybody’s p*y like I want yours and nothing’s changing that.”

“Do you want more than that? I-I mean, not with me, but eventually. With someone, or just, like, no. Not your thing? I mean do you date? Do you cheat?”

“Slow your roll, pretty. I’ve never really had time to date, or cheat. What the fuck is the point in getting in a relationship with one person if you want two, or three, or four? That shit makes no sense.”

“So, you want multiple women?”

“That’s not what I said. I want you, Yazlin. No one else.”

“You want my p*y.”

“I want you, Yazlin. Period.”

“Then drive faster, Macier.” Her crossing her legs let me know exactly what my words were doing to her, and I’ll be damned if I didn’t push a hundred on the dash.

The One He Needs – A. Marie Johnson – 11/28

Bria

“So you gon’ act like you know a nigga today or what, Bria?” Keyon asked as soon as he approached me.

I hadn’t seen him since the night I gave him my number after he all but forced me to put my p*y on his face because we were both drunk and horny as hell, but that didn’t stop him from pulling me into him like I was his woman. Keyon wrapped one of his arms around my waist while his other one reached up to allow his fingers to caress the side of my face. Unwillingly, I let out a soft moan and closed my eyes immediately. Flashbacks of his thick and gentle fingers sweetly circling around my clit ran through my mind and my panties instantly moistened.

“See what I mean? You do all that fronting but cum in your panties as soon as you see a nigga again. You wild as fuck, baby.” Keyon’s low chuckles made my eyes pop back open and I cleared my throat.

Removing his arm from around my waist, I rolled my eyes at him and folded my arms across my chest.

“Boy, you talk too much damn shit for my liking. You know it would never be that easy for you to bring me to pleasure, Key. Now, what do you want? I have things to do.” I tried to sound as convincing and tough as possible and that only made Keyon laugh even more.

“Let me check that out for myself then, Bria. Come walk with me,” he said and extended his hand to me.

For a few moments, I simply stared at the light-skinned pretty boy standing before me.

Please don’t get it twisted, though, because although Keyon looked pretty on the outside there was nothing but a straight up savage beast on the inside of him. He was the perfect mix of hood and gentleman, and that on its own made my panties grow even wetter.

Every Kind of Way – A. Jones – 11/29

Marley

I climbed out of the bed and stared at Demetri, “What are you doing?”

Leaning on one arm he said, “Trying to cuddle with your ass whatchu mean? You thought it was gonna be like last time huh? You get the d*k and run. Nah, ma, not this time. Not gon’ have me feeling like I’m worth two cents.”

Biting my nails I focused my gaze past Demetri.

Cuddling?

I loved cuddling. Drexel didn’t, but he’d do it to appease me. Give me ten minutes then he was over it, but here Demetri was ready and willing to have me lay up under him. Every day he seemed to blow my mind. Like who knew th-

“Get out of your head, Mar.”

Whether he called me Simone or Marley it still gave me butterflies. For a man like Demetri to show this much affection, I knew it wasn’t a game.

Swinging his legs over the bed Demetri adjusted himself before pulling me into him. His hands glided up and down the back of my thighs. “What are you overthinking?”

I’m thinking that I’m in love with you and I sure hope you’re in love with me too.

“If we’re on the same page.”

Demetri cocked his head to the side and looked into my eyes.

“What do I have to do?”
Squinting my eyes I questioned, “What do you mean?”

“What do I have to do to prove to you that I want you, Marley? That I’ve wanted you since I first laid eyes on you three years ago in your father’s office? Huh? Tell me, ma. What do I have to do?”

Absolutely nothing.

Straddling his lap I wrapped my arms around his neck as he palmed my butt. “Nothing. You don’t have to do anything. Nothing extra. You already show me. You tell me all the time. It’s me, my head. It’ll catch up.”

If I tell you how I feel, will you keep bringing out the best in me? – Sade

Her

He gave me love. The sweetest taboo my lips ever tasted. He opened my eyes to see that if I gave him the sweetest part of me, he would keep on loving me. So I gave until the wells of my water ran dry. Now I’m empty and he’s ready to replenish. The echo of my beating heart reminds me that he left us because he was afraid. Unwilling to change my name from Worthy to Secret, I said goodbye.

Him

She said I Do and eloped her soul to me when she moaned my name. Time and time again, I gave her an open door. A chance to run and not be chained to me. But in the end, it was me who snuck out through the back door and cowardly walked away without so much as a goodbye.

Her

We promised each other forever. I won’t allow him to hurt me again.

Him

I need her to trust me with her heart again. The quiet storm called “Us” is brewing, and it never felt so hot.

Samiyah

Just as the elevator doors opened and I lifted my left foot to step inside, strong arms wrapped around my waist tugging me back into a stone wall.

“Don’t run from me,” Gavin gritted in my ear.

Two seconds of being in his arms caused the sweetest moan to float from my lips. My body relaxed into his, neck tilted giving him the perfect angle to place his soul snatchers on my spot. I missed this man something crazy, and just for a moment, I didn’t care about him deceiving me.

“Gavin,” I whined feeling that familiar fire igniting down in the pit of my stomach. Part of me wanted to be mad at myself for showing that he still had the power to make me weak. The other part wanted to pull on his dreads and let him have his way.

“Don’t run from me, Mi. Give me a chance to show you how much I love you.”

I can’t explain what happened. Hearing those three words triggered an emotion of rage sending my adrenaline spiraling. With strength I didn’t know I had, I pushed myself free from his arms.

“Mi…”

“Save it, Gavin. I need you to stop. Leave me alone.” I stomped on my own heart saying those words. I never wanted him to leave me alone, but I couldn’t put my heart in his hands again. One heartbreak was enough for me to learn my lesson.

The gray-eyed bastard curled up his lips and smiled. “You think I’m about to live my life in misery because you won’t forgive me?” With his hands tucked in the pockets of the suit that made him more distinguished, he casually approached until he had me barricaded against the wall. “Baby, I’m not going anywhere. You don’t get to set me free without a second chance.”

“Set you free? You set me free when you didn’t choose me, Gavin.” If I didn’t think I’d break my hand by punching him in the face, I would’ve done it. How dare he say that I set him free when he didn’t choose me?

“Mi…”

“Shut up!” His brows arched causing me to gulp. He never liked anyone loud talking over him or disrespect period. I learned that lesson years ago when I called myself going off on him about something petty. He placed me over his knees and spanked me until I apologized. I hated to admit but that turned me on, and he knew it too when he stripped me naked and plunged into my wet walls. All night long, without mercy, Gavin savagely punished me.

Liz

I needed to sit down and collect my thoughts before work tomorrow. Going into the kitchen, I grabbed my wine glass and poured me a nice glass of Stella Rosa Black. After double checking my locks and cutting my alarm on, I walked into my bathroom. I went over to my cabinet, because I needed my lavender and peppermint oil for my bath tonight.

I stepped into the tub and slowly sunk into the water. My entire body shook as it relaxed against the back of the tub. I inclined my head and allowed my eyes to close as the heat massaged my tired joints. I thought back on the events of this weekend, and without my permission heat started to rise in my body.

It ignited a desire so strong it was unbearable. I took my right hand and slid it under the water and massaged my pearl. Images of Tatum popped into my head causing me to insert two fingers into my p*. My stomach tightened. I felt my release coming.

“Mmm, Tatum,” I moaned as my essence coated my fingers. I slowly slid them out as my body sunk further into the floor of the tub. I caught my breath before I stepped out to take a shower. As I drained the water my phone rung. I walked over to it to see who it was.

“Oh shit.” It’s Tatum facetiming me. With my towel wrapped around me, I slid my finger across the screen to accept the call.

“Yes, Tatum.” I leaned against the sink counter. His face popped on the screen, and I smiled. It looked like he was being slightly propped up with his pillows with his left arm behind his head.

“Why you look like that,” he asked with his eyebrow raised and a smirk on his face. I glanced up to look at the mirror, and sure enough my face looked flushed. I had the I just got f* eyes.

“Liz, did you touch something that doesn’t belong to you?” He positioned himself on the bed which gave me a better view of him. He didn’t have on a shirt, and his chest was on full display. My body reacted before I could stop it. I clenched my thighs together to stop the pressure from building as I watched him lick his lips.

Kam

She looked me in my eyes and said, “Don’t start something you can’t finish.” Her tone was flirty, but I knew she was serious. Her bottom lip was pulled between her teeth again making her look innocent. My brows shot up at her blunt response. Truthfully, I wasn’t expecting such a bold response from her.

Leaning down, I whispered in her ear, “You have no idea what I would do to you.” And I meant that. The positions I wanted to see her in had me ready to take her back to my hotel room.

“I wanna know,” she purred in my ear. “Matter fact, I want you to show me.” She ran her index finger down my chest and didn’t stop until she reached my belt.

“You sure about that, baby girl?” I ran my nose down her neck inhaling her sweet floral scent. Chills appeared on her skin when I grazed my lips over her neck. I pulled back when I heard her moan. Her moan, I could listen to it all night. She tilted her head back, lightly brushing her lips against mine.

“I’m very sure,” she said against my lips. Licking my bottom lip, I took a step back from her. It took everything in me not to take her bottom lip and suck it.

D. Rose: That’s What It’s Made For – 11/21

“One more shot,” Neah negotiated as I pushed her hand out my face. We’d already taken three shots and I was feeling a little woozy. It was barely nine in the morning, and Neah had us at the bar near our terminal taking shots before our flight to Miami.

“Neah, no.” My words slurred. It was no secret that I was a lightweight. Every trip I was the first to tap out, drinking just wasn’t my thing. Especially this early, and the bagel I ate prior to arriving at the airport wasn’t enough to hold down these shots. My body felt like it was on fire and I could barely keep my eyes open. Three shots were enough.

“Come on, Ish.” It was Bianca who begged this time. Neah and Bianca were the party girls out of our group. No matter the time or place they were always ready to turn up. Rolling my eyes, I looked at Jasmine to side with me, but she already had her glass in the air ready to drink. She shook her head at me like she already knew what I was about to say.

“Y’all get on my nerves, I swear.” I kissed my teeth and took the shot glass from Neah who was smiling from ear to ear. “This is my last one!” I raised my index finger.

Everyone laughed at my tantrum and paid me no mind.

“You love us,” Neah boasted. She was right since freshman year these girls had been sanity, my headache, and backbone. This would be our last spring break trip together before we graduated in May. We were all unsure of what the future held, but one thing was for sure, we’d remain friends.

Neah held up her glass to toast. “To sisterhood….and turning the fuck up this weekend!”

“Hell yeah,” Bianca agreed.

We toasted and threw back the shots of tequila. I groaned at the burning sensation the shot caused. Reaching for the bowl of sliced limes the bartender so graciously left us, I sucked the lime until the taste of tequila no longer lingered on my tongue. After waving down the bartender, I ordered a glass of water in hopes that it would help me sober up a little before we had to board the plane.

A few moments later, it was time to board, so we closed our tab at the bar and headed back to our terminal. While Neah told us our itinerary for when we landed, I checked my phone to see if I had any notifications. I was half-expecting to hear from Jordan, a guy I was dating. And I use that term loosely because at this point I’m not sure what we were doing.

A week ago, he told me he wanted to slow down a bit. I’m still not sure what that meant because we weren’t exclusive, we barely went out, and there were days when I wouldn’t hear from him at all.

My stride slowed when I checked his Instagram and saw he was in Puerto Rico with another woman. Not just an woman, the same woman I saw leaving his house one night when I did a pop up visit. He flipped the script by calling me insecure. And threw in the fact that I wasn’t his girlfriend to shut me up. It was foolish of me to believe I was being insecure, I knew it my gut she was more than a friend. For him to take her on a trip and post her on social media she had to be special. The only thing I got during the year we dated was lies on top of lies.

My friend’s voices drifted off as I completely stopped in the middle of the busy airport trying to process what I was seeing. My blood began to boil when what I was seeing started to set in. The thoughts running through my mind were brought to a screeching halt when I felt a hard body bump into my back. Our collision caused my nike duffle bag and purse to fall off my shoulder onto the floor.

“You can’t just stop like that.” His tone was harsh and unnecessary. I turned around ready to curse him out for speaking to me like that. Since I couldn’t take my frustration out on Jordan, the rude man behind definitely could get it. But when our eyes connected his demeanor softened and so did his tone. “It’s too busy in here to be stopping like that.”

He adjusted the bag on his shoulder before licking his full brown lips. A smile that appeared on his sexy lips as he reached down to pick my bag up off the floor. I wanted to apologize, but I was truly at a loss for words.

The man staring down at me was the finest man I’d ever laid my eyes on. His brandy colored eyes were mesmerizing encased by thick bushy brows and long lashes. When I was finally able, I tore my gaze away from them and admired every other part of him. My eyes trailed from his eyes to his wide nose, then his thick beard, and finally his broad chest that was covered by a white t-shirt. The shots had definitely gone into effect because I was blatantly lusting over a complete stranger with no remorse.

“Ish, you ok?” I heard Neah’s voice from behind.

“Ish,” he repeated with a hint of curiosity in his tone. The sound of my name coming from his mouth made kitty ache with desire. Neah grabbed my shoulder as she mugged Mr. Sexy Stranger.

“I’m fine. I-he…we bumped into each other.”

“She stopped walking and I bumped into her,” he corrected. He squinted his eyes at me before smiling again and this time I noticed the slight gap in his otherwise perfect teeth.

“Yeah, I’m sorry about that.” Finally, I was able to speak.

“It’s no problem, baby girl. Just be mindful next time.” With that, he disappeared into the busy crowd.

We were the last to board the plane because I was so caught up with Mr. Sexy Stranger. Luckily, I reserved my seat at the time of my purchase. I always chose the first seats because I hated waiting to exit after a flight ended. Once we were seated, and the flight attendant went through the safety spiel, I closed my eyes and slept.

Miami was beautiful as always. The weather was warm and humid the complete opposite of the dreary weather we left in Maryland. Our personal driver waited for us at the pickup area in the airport. The sign he held read The Flossy Posse 2.0. Bianca, Jasmine, and I looked at Neah and all burst into laughter. Neah was the one who arranged this pickup service.

Ever since we saw the movie Girls Trip, Neah swore that was our life. She wasn’t lying, every trip we went on was full of foolishness and stories that could never be shared outside of our circle. Every city we traveled to we wreaked havoc with no remorse. I mean you only live once right?

The driver greeted us, “Welcome to Miami, mamacitas.”

He walked us to our black Escalade truck, put our luggage in the trunk and drove us to our private villa located in the heart of South Beach. The villa was absolutely beautiful. The peach two-story house was fully equipped with a stocked bar, four bedrooms with queen beds, private bathrooms, a pool, and, most importantly a view of the ocean. I stood on the balcony outside my room and admired the ocean. It was peaceful, serene, and erased all thoughts of my upcoming finals.

Liz

“Dr. Taylor, your patient is ready.” I stood up from my desk, and doubled checked to make sure I had everything before I walked out of my office. Today has been a long day, but I will not complain. My name is Elizabeth Taylor, but I go by Liz unless I’m in the office then I go by Dr. Taylor. I am currently the head Pediatrician at a family pediatric office outside of Raleigh, NC. I graduated from UNC school of medicine about one year ago, and let me tell you things have not always been ideal.

I grew up in a household with my mother Dolores, and my older brother Jason. My father passed away due to a heart attack when I was ten years old. It’s like once that happened everything just seemed to go down hill. Two years after the death of my father my older brother was sentenced to thirty years in prison for an armed robbery that ended in some guy being murdered. You know te saying ‘that was the straw that broke the camels back’ or something like that? Well that was my mom. It just seemed like spiraled out of control, and I couldn’t help her. She turned into an alcoholic, and after she blew through my college fund on stupid shit I walked away. I graduated high school, and decided to only deal with my mom from a distance.

I had to learn what it meant to get it out the mud by any means necessary early. I worked day in, and day out to get to where I was today, and in the end it was well worth it.

I knocked on the door before I entered to greet my patient.

“Good Afternoon my name is Dr. Taylor.” I looked up, and stopped dead in my tracks. My eyes had to be playing tricks on me. The man that stood in front of me in a pair of denim Levi’s, a blue oxford button down, and a pair of black Chelsea Boot was none other than Tatum Stevens. I hadn’t seen this man in years, and I must admit he looked even better now. He used to sport a low cut fade, but  it looked like he decided to shake things up. Now his hair is a curly low top with tapered sides.

I closed my eyes, and exhaled. Liz get it together you’re over here openly staring at this man like you’re not at work, and he isn’t here with his baby. Wait! When in the hell did this man have a child?

I stopped myself before I dwelled on it too long, and focused back on the patient. Who was an adorable little girl. She didn’t look older than four with the bright hazel eyes, and long pigtails. Her faced was stained with tears as she held her ear. My heart ached for her.

“I apologize, like I was saying. My name is Dr. Taylor. What brings you in today?” I asked as I washed my hands.

“My ears hurt.” I turned around and walked over to where she sat on Tatum’s lap. I picked her up, and placed her on the table so I could examine her better.

“Ok pretty girl, can you tell me your name?” I asked as I grabbed the otoscope off the wall.

“I’m Tiasia” her voice was so small, and timid if I wasn’t close to her I would miss it.

“Well alright Miss. Ti’asia, I’m going to use this to check ears. Is that ok?” I asked as I showed her the insturment.

“What’s that.”

“It’s an otoscope. I use it to check your ears, and your throat.” I moved from her right ear to the left to check for any drainage or anything out of the norm. When I got to the left ear I saw a little of drainage in her ear which will explain why she was complaining about an earache.

“Ok pretty girl can you open your mouth, and say ahhhh.” I asked and demonstrated for her. Turning my light on I checked her throat for any signs of drainage. I saw that everything was clear, which was good. I turned around to address Tatum, who weirdly enough was quiet the whole time.

“Ok dad, it looks like she has an ear infection. I’ll prescribe her some medicine, and she should be cleared in a few days.” I told him as I drew up her prescription on the computer.

“That’s good to hear, but I’m her uncle.” He replied with a smirk. I watched as he got up, and picked Ti’Asia up. You could tell they had a great relationship by the way he held her, and the way she wrapped her arms around his neck with her head on his shoulder.

“My apologies, well her prescription should be ready soon.” I walked over to where he stood, and rubbed Ti’Asias back.

“Bye pretty girl I hope you feel better.”  I left out the room, and headed back to my office so I could finish the rest of my shift. I had one more patient before I was free to leave.

I walked out of the office an hour later, and got everything situated in my car before I headed out the parking lot. I didn’t even make it 2 blocks before my car started wobbling like a tire was flat. I pulled over to the side of the road, put my hazards on before I jumped out the car and slammed the door.

“This cannot be happening,” I exhaled as I ran my hands through my hair that now hung wild and free. I walked around the car, where I noticed my back passenger wheel was completely flat. Defeated, I walked back around to my door. I got back into my car, and look for my phone so I could call AAA and get some assistance. Thankful that they said a driver was nearby, and I wouldn’t have to wait long because I really needed a hot shower, and some food.

*Tap, Tap, Tap*

‘Damn, that was fast.’ I looked up, prepared to get out because I thought it was AAA, but instead it was Tatum. I rolled my window down, because I couldn’t hear what he said to me.

“Hey is everything ok?”

‘Damn,’ I got a clearer image of him this time, and my God this man is gorgeous. I mean he was always gorgeous, but it’s something about his growth that has me squeezing my legs together. With rich Hershey chocolate skin, and dark eyes.

“Dr. Taylor, right?”  I snapped out of my head to address him.

“Ye, yes.?” Really Liz get your shit together.

He smiled like he knew something I didn’t. But before I could address it I saw the tow truck had pulled up. Thank God.

“Excuse me, I need to speak with the driver.” As I got out the car he took a step back, and held out his arm. His scent to invaded my space, it was intoxicating. He smelled like Tom Ford Noir.

The driver of AAA walked over and met me at the rear of my car. I expected for Tatum to leave, but he just followed behind me. I directed the driver to my rear tire, but before he got the tools he needed Tatum stopped him.

“I got it my man. You can leave.” The driver, and myself looked at him like he was crazy. He didn’t say anything. He just walked to the back of his car that was parked in front of mine. He grabbed his jack out the trunk, and wheeled it back over to my car. I was sat there staring at him like he had lost his mind. The AAA driver just shook his head, handed me the invoice, and walked back to his truck. Confused, I caught him before he could open his door.

“Excuse me, why did you give me this?” I handed him the invoice back, because it’s not like he did anything.

He was about to respond, but I felt him, Tatum had gotten up. His smell invaded my space once again. He reached for the invoice, and snatched it out of the man’s hands. He skimmed over the paperwork before he led me back to car. He opened my door and placed me inside.

“What the hell is this man doing?” I questioned. I watched as he walked back to the driver. I don’t know what was said, but the driver practically ran to open the door to his truck. He sped off before the door was fully closed.

Tatum walked back over to the rear of my car and grabbed his tools. Dang how didn’t I notice he changed the tire. I got of my car and met him halfway.

“Thanks again, but you never gave me your name.” He stood and stared at me with that smirk I had grown to love.

He took his time as he walked into my space, warmth spread through my body as he placed his hand on my cheek.

“You know who I am, but.” He smiled. He leaned down, and nipped my ear. “You’re welcome, Scarlett.” He pulled away winked, and walked back to his car.

I was stuck.

Samiyah Jones hit me with her love jones, and I’ve been hooked since.

Between the job and her sorry excuse of a boyfriend, I let Samiyah think she had control. I’m far from being egotistical or arrogant. Nor was I jealous over what was and will always be mine. What I am is confident in knowing that after the first time I emptied my seeds into her womb, I left a mark.

Not just any ole mark. My mark.

I inscribed my name. Tatted my DNA. Branded my love.

When she’s climaxing, Samiyah may think it’s because of him, but it’s not. I’m imprinted on her mental.

It’s my face she sees between her legs. It’s my dick she’s fantasizing about when she’s riding his useless ass.

Her nigga needs to thank me because I’m doing him a favor by getting her wet for him. She can’t enjoy sex with no other man unless she is thinking about me.

With all my might, I intentionally ruined Samiyah Zoey Jones for any man, and I’d do it again.
