Tomorrow, Chelsea Maria returns with “Say You’ll Never Leave.”
If I tell you how I feel, will you keep bringing out the best in me? – Sade
He gave me love. The sweetest taboo my lips ever tasted. He opened my eyes to see that if I gave him the sweetest part of me, he would keep on loving me. So I gave until the wells of my water ran dry. Now I’m empty and he’s ready to replenish. The echo of my beating heart reminds me that he left us because he was afraid. Unwilling to change my name from Worthy to Secret, I said goodbye.
She said I Do and eloped her soul to me when she moaned my name. Time and time again, I gave her an open door. A chance to run and not be chained to me. But in the end, it was me who snuck out through the back door and cowardly walked away without so much as a goodbye.
We promised each other forever. I won’t allow him to hurt me again.
I need her to trust me with her heart again. The quiet storm called “Us” is brewing, and it never felt so hot.
Just as the elevator doors opened and I lifted my left foot to step inside, strong arms wrapped around my waist tugging me back into a stone wall.
“Don’t run from me,” Gavin gritted in my ear.
Two seconds of being in his arms caused the sweetest moan to float from my lips. My body relaxed into his, neck tilted giving him the perfect angle to place his soul snatchers on my spot. I missed this man something crazy, and just for a moment, I didn’t care about him deceiving me.
“Gavin,” I whined feeling that familiar fire igniting down in the pit of my stomach. Part of me wanted to be mad at myself for showing that he still had the power to make me weak. The other part wanted to pull on his dreads and let him have his way.
“Don’t run from me, Mi. Give me a chance to show you how much I love you.”
I can’t explain what happened. Hearing those three words triggered an emotion of rage sending my adrenaline spiraling. With strength I didn’t know I had, I pushed myself free from his arms.
“Save it, Gavin. I need you to stop. Leave me alone.” I stomped on my own heart saying those words. I never wanted him to leave me alone, but I couldn’t put my heart in his hands again. One heartbreak was enough for me to learn my lesson.
The gray-eyed bastard curled up his lips and smiled. “You think I’m about to live my life in misery because you won’t forgive me?” With his hands tucked in the pockets of the suit that made him more distinguished, he casually approached until he had me barricaded against the wall. “Baby, I’m not going anywhere. You don’t get to set me free without a second chance.”
“Set you free? You set me free when you didn’t choose me, Gavin.” If I didn’t think I’d break my hand by punching him in the face, I would’ve done it. How dare he say that I set him free when he didn’t choose me?
“Shut up!” His brows arched causing me to gulp. He never liked anyone loud talking over him or disrespect period. I learned that lesson years ago when I called myself going off on him about something petty. He placed me over his knees and spanked me until I apologized. I hated to admit but that turned me on, and he knew it too when he stripped me naked and plunged into my wet walls. All night long, without mercy, Gavin savagely punished me.
Prepare to read the rest tomorrow!
